Course Description
The course deals primarily with effective methods for teaching SEN students with Speech-Language Communication (SLC) learning difficulties. It discusses cogent methods for teaching SEN learners that have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia, with appropriately set learning outcomes.
The course also drills down into techniques used for reliably identifying, assessing and characterising SLC expressions in young learners, as well as the range of available interventions. It discussed the types of class teaching tooling, such as the Resource Support Maps (RSM), that may be used to facilitate learning by SLC-impaired candidates. It additionally offers guidelines and contemporary methods for effective SEN-SLC classroom management.
The schedule also includes cultural activities that will allow participants to explore and experience Irish culture and the vibrant city of Dublin.
