ESEP Is Changing: Where Teachers Can Still Find Erasmus+ Courses

From 27 May 2026, the European School Education Platform (ESEP) will remove courses published by external providers from its course catalogue. This change is leading many teachers to search for ESEP course alternatives. The platform remains online, and teachers can still use ESEP for Commission-run online courses, webinars, self-paced learning, and eTwinning activities.

This change matters because many teachers have used ESEP to compare Erasmus+ teacher-training options. Once external provider listings disappear, teachers will need new ways to search for courses, compare providers, and check dates directly.

What This Means for Teachers

The good news is that high-quality courses are still out there.

If you used ESEP to shortlist mobility courses, the safest next step is to:

  • Check providers directly
  • Compare course descriptions carefully
  • Confirm dates with the organiser before making travel or grant plans.

ESEP will still be useful for Commission-run content. However, teachers will increasingly rely on provider websites and independent course directories for Erasmus+ training options.

The Alternative Platform Teachers Are Talking About

Teachers looking for ESEP course alternatives can still discover Erasmus+ courses in several places:

On ESEP itself: the platform continues to publish Commission-run online courses and webinars.

On provider websites: many course providers publish their own catalogues, dates, prices, and application details directly.

On Facebook groups: they have been one of the most used platforms to look for confirmed Erasmus+ training courses in Ireland and all over Europe.

How To Keep Finding Our Courses

The easiest way to keep finding our courses is to go directly to our course pages. There, you can browse detailed course content and learning outcomes, upcoming dates and booking details.

You can search by topic (including digital and AI, innovative teaching methodologies, language, school preparedness and inclusion) and browse an always-updated list of confirmed sessions too.

We encourage you to compare different courses and reach out to us to enquire about specific dates and which course better aligns with your school development goals and Erasmus+ priorities. This will make it easier to choose training that genuinely supports classroom practice and staff development.

One of the best ways to evaluate a provider today is to look beyond the catalogue listing itself.

Reviewing photos from previous groups, participants’ reviews, and past course activities gives you more confidence that you are choosing a provider with genuine Erasmus+ experience and active international participation.

The HESL team has been active in Erasmus+ since 2015 and continues to focus on practical, classroom-oriented professional development for schools across Europe. Check out our great participants’ reviews and take a look at our previous course groups on Facebook and Instagram.
