English for Professional Mobility: Workplace Skills

Course Description

Are you preparing for a mobility to an English-speaking country or entering a professional environment where English proficiency is essential? This course is designed to help you build the communication confidence and language skills you’ll need to succeed in a professional environment. From your first team meeting to writing work emails, you’ll practise English through real-life scenarios and collaborative activities.

You will learn in a supportive classroom environment where theory is brought to life through conversation, simulations, and group tasks. For example, one day you might practise small talk for a workplace coffee break, and another day, you’ll role-play how to introduce yourself in a company meeting.

Alongside classroom sessions, you’ll take part in cultural visits around Dublin, helping you understand the habits, humour, and social norms that shape English-language workplaces.

Methodology and Course Approach
Our teaching approach combines practical communication with focused language development. You’ll participate in interactive sessions, peer-learning activities, and multimedia exercises that mirror real-world work situations.

Examples include:

  • Joining simulated video calls to practise reporting project updates
  • Writing professional emails and LinkedIn profiles during writing lab sessions
  • Taking part in “problem-solving meetings” to strengthen teamwork and listening skills
  • Completing short cultural projects comparing Irish workplace etiquette with your home country

Through these activities, you’ll not only develop grammar and vocabulary but also gain the confidence to express yourself naturally and courteously in any professional context.

Most suitable for A2 - B2 learners.
