Course Description
Our Outdoor CLIL Course for Teachers combines Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) with outdoor education and experiential learning, using urban and green spaces as meaningful learning environments.
The course supports teachers and education staff in designing CLIL lessons and use schoolyards, parks, streets, cultural landmarks, natural areas, and everyday surroundings as resources for bilingual education and active learning.
Participants will explore how to plan content objectives and language objectives, scaffold learning effectively, support student interaction, and create outdoor CLIL activities that are suitable for different subjects, age groups, and school contexts.
The course empowers teachers to connect language learning with observation, movement, inquiry, collaboration, and real-world contexts. This will help students develop subject knowledge, academic vocabulary, communication skills, and confidence.
By the end of this Outdoor CLIL Course for Teachers, participants will have gained practical tools to deliver CLIL lessons in urban and green spaces, while also strengthening their ability to design engaging, curriculum-based, and language-rich learning experiences for their students.
The course is suitable to CLIL primary teachers and CLIL secondary school teachers, as well as language teachers and bilingual school education staff. The course will be adapted to the profile and subjects of participants.
