AI Video, Audio and Learning Materials for Inclusive and SEN Classrooms

Course Description

This course focuses on the practical development of AI SEN teaching materials, with a focus on creating multimedia resources such as videos, audio content, and differentiated learning supports for SEN classrooms.

The course is suitable for all SEN teachers, particularly those seeking to enhance their digital and instructional design skills. Each session will be adapted to the participant’s needs and school type (primary, secondary, VET).

In the first part of the course, teachers will participate in hands-on activities to transform curriculum content into accessible multimedia formats, such as simplified video explanations, structured listening activities, and visual learning supports using AI tools. In addition, they will examine how cognitive load, attention differences, and communication needs influence the design of effective SEN resources. As a result, teachers will be able to produce engaging and accessible materials that support learners with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and language difficulties.

The second part of the course focuses on adaptation. You will learn how to differentiate content across ability levels, ensuring that each learner receives appropriately scaffolded support. Through guided practice, educators will build video scripts, listening exercises, and visual aids that can be directly applied in classroom settings or shared as part of wider school resources.
