Course Description
Building strong teacher–student relationships has become increasingly challenging. Busy classrooms, changing communication habits in Gen Alpha students and linguistic differences can make it difficult to truly understand the learners behind the behaviour. Yet students are far more likely to participate, take risks and succeed when they feel seen, respected and understood.
This practical course on understanding student diversity supports educators and school staff in gathering useful information about students’ readiness, interests, language, culture, participation, successful learning conditions and support needs without reducing learners to fixed labels or assumptions.
In the first part of the course, participants will explore learner profiling, student voice, respectful data collection for ethical AI use, privacy, strengths-based language and practical ways to review and update profiles as students develop.
The second part of the course focuses on translating their knowledge of learners into relevant lesson content, flexible grouping and meaningful participation choices using AI. These approaches help students feel recognised, appropriately challenged and more connected to their teachers, classmates and learning.
The course is suitable for classroom teachers, tutors, learning-support staff, counsellors, special education teachers and school leaders seeking Erasmus+ training in student diversity, inclusive teaching and learner engagement. The course will be adapted to participants' school type and needs.

Assessment and Certificates
Assessment of performance will be through delegate-completed portfolio of work. The final course certification for successful completion is a college-issued “Course Certificate of Completion”, for each module studied. In addition, where applicable, delegates will receive relevant EuroPass certificates.
