Course Description
Our Creative AI for Language Teachers course is designed for educators who want to use AI for language teaching materials creation to improve reading, writing, listening and student engagement.
Many teachers struggle to find the right teaching materials online. Videos and songs are often too complex, not level-appropriate, or fail to target the exact vocabulary or language structures students need. This course addresses that challenge directly by helping teachers create personalised AI-generated videos, songs, and texts tailored to their specific learning objectives.
The course is suitable for all educators and it will be adapted to their needs and school type (primary, secondary, VET).
The first part focuses on using generative AI tools to develop lesson plans and create classroom-specific language teaching materials (including texts, listening files, videos, and songs) tailored to your specific language objectives. You will explore how an ethical use of AI tools for teachers can support the creation of creative writing, reading tasks, and listening activities.
The second part of the course moves beyond content creation and explores how to effectively integrate these AI-generated materials into real classroom practice. This includes strategies for lesson delivery with AI and digital tools, approaches for assessing student work when AI tools are involved, and practical guidance on designing AI-safe tasks that encourage genuine language development while still benefiting from AI-supported learning environments.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to use AI for language teaching materials creation, design and deliver personalised, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences using AI tools such as AI writing generators, storytelling tools, and multimedia content creators.

- AI for differentiation: Generating levelled texts and custom vocabulary lists
- Scaffolding the writing process: Using AI for outlines, prompts, and feedback
- Story generation and rewriting activities for language accuracy
- Multimodal storytelling: Combining AI text, images, and audio for personalised educational videos and songs
- Designing a mini language project using creative AI activities
- Assessing language skills in an AI-assisted environment
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Create differentiated language materials that support a wide range of reading levels.
- Use AI tools to foster creativity in storytelling, listening, and writing tasks.
- Integrate AI into literacy practices while maintaining high standards of academic honesty.
- Design multimodal projects that combine audio, visual, and text-based AI outputs.
- Evaluate the impact of AI tools on student language acquisition and engagement.
Assessment and Certificates
Assessment of performance will be through delegate-completed portfolio of work. The final course certification for successful completion is a college-issued “Course Certificate of Completion”, for each module studied. In addition, where applicable, delegates will receive relevant EuroPass certificates.
