We had a great start to our new Erasmus+ Green STEAM school project! We met our new partners in Reykjavik, Iceland at the end of October 2025 for the first Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM1).
About the Project
The Erasmus+ KA220 Green STEAM school project aims at empowering schools to become active agents of climate literacy through field-based research for students, environmental sensors in education, and digital storytelling for climate action. By combining science, technology and international mobilities, it helps connect global climate challenges with local realities and strengthens data literacy for students across Europe.

Day 1
The first day began with partner introductions and presentations about each organisation’s work. We then discussed the project objectives and started planning training and learning activities for 2026.
In the afternoon, our coordinator took us on an excursion to the Grindavik area and the Icelandic coast. The stunning scenery made for a memorable and relaxing experience.

Day 2
The second day included visits to a sustainable Tomato Farm and the Solheimajökull Glacier. We also stopped at one of Iceland’s beautiful waterfalls. These excursions encouraged informal discussions and helped build stronger connections between partners.

Are you a teacher and want to travel to Crete at the end of April 2026? Reach out to us! Four teachers can take part in the mobility, fully funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
